As of August 2016, this is my philosophy blog. It replaces Footnotes on Epicycles, where I blogged for almost eleven years.
I’m a Professor of Philosophy in Albany, New York. I write in the philosophy of science, the philosophy of art and music, the epistemology of technology (Wikipedia and AI), and pragmatism. My work is motivated by a fallibilist but non-sceptical conception of knowledge. I regularly teaches courses in philosophy of science, logic, epistemology, pragmatism, and philosophy of art.
If you are interested in more about me qua philosopher, see my professional homepage.
More generally, this blog is about whatever strikes me. Some of it is random stuff that at one point would have been added to my personal homepage. Stuff has accumulated there since 1998 (!), but updates are sporadic.
