It&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/bjaesthetics\/advance-article\/doi\/10.1093\/aesthj\/ayaf034\/8405139?searchresult=1&amp;login=false\">free to download<\/a> at the journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Although Justin describes this as &#8220;open access&#8221; in the link text, that&#8217;s not quite right. Open access would mean a change to the license, which would mean free in an ongoing way. Rather, it&#8217;s only free for 90 days.<span id='easy-footnote-1-2217' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.fecundity.com\/nfw\/2026\/01\/23\/i-keep-having-said-things\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-2217' title=' From whenever they started counting. By the time you read this, it will be less.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s only free to download because Justin wrote to the editor and asked for it to be made free. It is his (commendable) policy not to put stuff that&#8217;s behind a paywall in the <em>Heap of Links<\/em>.<span id='easy-footnote-2-2217' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.fecundity.com\/nfw\/2026\/01\/23\/i-keep-having-said-things\/#easy-footnote-bottom-2-2217' title=' He read it, liked it, and wanted to link to it. Cool, cool.'><sup>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, there is an open access version of the paper.
